Our Coaches

Vicki Fox: Head Coach 

Coach Vicki is a world-class masters track and field athlete who is passionate about both competing as an athlete and contributing to her community as a coach. She is an 12-time National Champion and holds an All American ranking in 12 track and field events and six road racing distances. She holds 28 USATF-LI age division records, 7 National Senior Games Records and two Long Island Senior Games records.

Internationally ranked in more than a dozen track and field events, Coach Vicki’s accomplishments include breaking an American record at the 2015 World Masters Athletics Outdoor Championships in Lyon, France where she helped earn silver and gold for Team USA in the W55 4x100 and 4x400 respectively. In 2016 she helped her team break another American Record in the Indoor 4x200m relay in Albuquerque, NM at the USA Masters Nationals Indoor Championships and then broke it again in 2017. Most recently ranked number two in the world by Masters Rankings News for her results in the Pentathlon at the 2017 USATF National Masters Indoor Championships, Albuquerque, NM and a US first place ranking for the Heptathlon in Slippery Rock, PA.

In 2014 Coach Vicki founded NRC Youth Track and Field/Cross Country Program, for which she serves as Head Coach and Coordinator. She is a Certified USATF Level I Track and Field Coach, NYSPHSAA T&F/Cross Country Coach and an Association level Certified USATF Official, also serving as Vice-Chairman of USATF-LI Masters Athletics Committee; Board Member of USATF-LI; and former BOD member of the Northport Running Club. She is also CPR/AED certified.

Patrick Viola: Assistant Head Coach

Coach Pat brings to our program over 50 years of competing in the sports of track and field and cross country, triathlons, marathons, adventure racing, ultra-marathons, pentathlons and road races. In total he’s run over 750 events, completing more than 30 marathons and 35 triathlons, including one Ironman.

Now a masters athlete, Coach Pat holds several Long Island Senior Games and USATF-LI age records for the long jump, javelin, discus, pentathlon and in various track distances. As a masters athlete he has also broken the American Standard of Excellence in the pentathlon, long jump, javelin, 5K and 10K. At the 2015 USATF National Masters Championships, he finished 6th in the javelin and was crowned National Champion in the pentathlon, with a masters ranking of #1 in the World.

A lifelong competitive runner, Coach Pat possesses an incredible amount of coaching expertise. He became a Certified USATF Level I Track and Field Coach in 2014.
